TITLE: SENIOR HR MANAGER

LOCATION: EAST BAY

COMP: 125K-150K



DESCRIPTION 

The HR manager works in partnership with our executive team to recruit, develop and retain our diverse team of employees. The HR Manager role is key to our success and developing our employees. This position is responsible for all aspects of human resources including compliance, benefits, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, development and retention of our employees.


REQUIRMENTS

• Expand college intern and undergraduate recruiting program

• Manage recruiting and hiring process, internally or with recruiting services

• Monitor annual review schedule to ensure employees receive timely feedback

• Development including goal setting, training and scheduling coursework for employees

• Employee goal setting, appraisal systems and structured performance review

• Partner with Accounting, Estimating and Operations departments for employee development

• Departmental succession planning and retention programs

• Organizational structure assessment

• Compensation and bonus program assessment/development

• Promote company’s core values

• Employee benefits and enrollments

• Employee Handbook maintenance and policies training

• Lead and enforce the corporate policies and procedures and address non-compliance among all employees

• Builds the team by attracting, assessing, mentoring and retaining Top Performers

• Fully understand all collective bargaining agreements

• Labor law compliance, employee training, sexual harassment training

• Coordinate quarterly employee newsletter production

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree in Human Resources or related field

• SHRM or PHR certification is preferred

• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong management skills

• Functions effectively as part of a team

• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

• Strong decision making/problem solving skills

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Five or more years of relevant industry experience with progressively greater responsibility

• Compensation & Benefits expertise (insurance, 401K) and employee assistance programs

• Knowledge of the employment law and current regulations

• Proactive and pragmatic thinker, is deliberate and decisive in making decisions

• Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals

• Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced challenging environment

• Has a solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills

• Track record of achievement and career progression
