An Integrity Project Engineer / Consulting Engineer I is expected to lead projects and teams of engineers and is responsible for coordinating efficient and cost effective implementation of integrity management programs, studies, or inspections for our clients to ensure the integrity of their assets including pipelines, onshore and offshore structures, stationary equipment, etc. as part of the asset life-cycle. This position requires considerable concentration and focus and the ability to adapt to a changing environment, workload and tight deadlines.
Applying sound engineering, economic, legal and practical principles and practices to functions that ensure an asset, process, or system continues to meet appropriate and intended safety, legal, and business requirements.
Development and implementation of processes and methodologies to achieve project objectives. Review, analysis, and/or development of manuals or procedures related to pipeline & facility safety
Staying current with the pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessments methods, repair methods, etc.
Performing a variety of consulting or integrity tasks as assigned by manager such as:
§ Basic engineering calculations to assist in the determination of MOP/MAOP, hydrostatic test pressures, SMYS, etc.
§ ECA, RBI, FFS and Information Analyses to identify and evaluate additional preventive measures, determining the re-assessment interval and re-assessment methods.
§ Record validation, engineering studies, inspection programs and other activities, as assigned
§ Damage assessment and failure investigations.
§ Assessment of deterioration/corrosion and ensure timely maintenance of the affected facilities.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining standards for quality, performance, and on-time delivery.
Often works in a team environment and functions as team lead to ensure deliverables meet client, industry and government specifications and standards. This includes ensuring work is performed in accordance with established protocols and undergoes prescribed quality reviews.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university
Professional engineer registration preferred but not required
Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably related to asset integrity, pipeline operating company experience preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years work experience the pipeline industry
Familiarity with one or more Integrity Management Programs (TIMP, DIMP, SIMP, LQ-IMP) and associated regulatory requirements
Problem solving and process development/improvement skills
Ability to apply established concepts to new situations and environments
Familiarity with basic project management concepts
Experience independently and successfully leading complex projects
Travel up to 25%
Basic to intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Basic principles of ESRI GIS data models for pipeline asset information and data management
Enthusiasm to be a part of the team and ability to grasp new concepts
Strong oral and written communication skills
Technical report and procedure writing skills
Ability to build relationships with clients and staff members
Unquestioned business and personal integrity
