Okta Administrator


We are on a search for a stellar Okta Administrator to work on a contract basis to bring together a world-class authentication platform. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Okta life cycle management and perform any necessary troubleshooting tasks
  • Design and implement technical processes and procedures needed for the onboarding of identities and applications into Okta
  • Work with the IT and Information Security teams to ensure best practices are designed into the Okta configuration
  • Review existing multi-tenant configuration and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Migrate applications from legacy tenant into primary tenant
  • Migrate users between tenants
  • Identify ways to improve user experiences with Okta
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the Okta platform

Preferred Qualifications

  • OKTA Certified Administrator 
  • Three plus years of hands-on work experience with Okta workforce identity products, including Okta Authorization Server, Okta API, Okta Automation Engine, Universal Directory, and Identity Engine
  • Experience with technologies and protocols to support identity federation and robust access control models such as single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), SAML, OAuth2 and OpenIDC Rest API services, and Okta Verify
  • Experience with integrated user account provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Ability to implement SSO for SaaS applications
  • Development and coding skills for creating SCIM connectors
  • Ability to solve common design and development problems
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, reasoning, and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, both verbal and written
