Work Location: Remote

Work Hours: Majority of the team sits on West Coast, but hours will be flexible. Daily standup meetings take place at 930aPST/1230pEST

  • Base salary budget: $120,000  
  • 5-10% Discretionary Bonus

Business Analyst 

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will be joining a growing team of Product and Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance professionals partnering directly with the business and software development teams where you will be contributing to product delivery. This is a high impact position delivering results in a feature-based agile SDLC.

This is a “full stack” player who will be intimately involved in every stage of the SDLC but particularly focused on performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing.

In this role you will be:

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
  • Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Performing user acceptance testing.
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of business analyst and/or testing experience working with diverse project teams comprised of functional stakeholders and software engineering personnel.
  • Experience being a part of Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality.
  • Experience with JIRA agile delivery management
  • Basic or better SQL skills

  • HMO Medical plan coverage, with a Choice of Kaiser Permanente at $30.00 per month, United HealthCare (South) $50.00 or Blue Cross Anthem (South) $113.07 per month contribution by employee. PPO options are available at an additional cost. Dependents can be added at employee’s expense.
