Our San Francisco based client is looking for an exceptional Head of Information Security to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. This is a critical role with responsibility for leading global strategy across technical, strategic, leadership and client facing aspects of the Information Security division. Ideally, we are looking for a security leader with the experience and the heart of an engineer to lead, mentor and build the security function from engineering and architecture through to strategic security posture. You will be responsible for advising customers and business leaders on information security best practices and building a strong, global technical team and infrastructure.

Ideally, you have…

  • 7+ years of experience in information security leadership, ideally in a SAAS environment
  • Technical savvy - you’re comfortable and familiar with products targeting developers
  • Experience leading global security strategy
  • Proven chops improving your team’s knowledge, engagement and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to influence security awareness with external customers
  • Integrity and honesty - you are a trusting and trusted individual
  • Resourcefulness and self-motivation with a strong sense of accountability
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail
  • Comfortable working with other teams to build alignment (debate, decide, commit) across a multi-disciplinary organization
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing competing time demands
  • Self-starter mentality plus a natural curiosity to make things more efficient and effective
