Our Client, a leading independent investment management firm with $11 Billion in total assets, and a true team approach, is looking for an individual to assist in the management and administration of both taxable and tax-exempt fixed income portfolios. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the active management of fixed income portfolios; broad knowledge of fixed income market sectors; an ability to assess credit and relative value; and experience trading on behalf of clients. As part of a team to develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, the candidate should have an understanding of asset allocation considerations and balanced and fixed income portfolio construction. This individual would be expected to work collaboratively with portfolio managers, client service and marketing teams


Job Responsibilities:

 Work on building out a robust fixed income offering for both taxable and tax-exempt clients.

 Construct customized fixed income portfolios based on clients’ specific needs.

 Assist client service with developing a detailed fixed income component for client reports.

 Respond to RFP’s with fixed income components and complete quarterly consultant questionnaires.

 Contribute fixed income commentary for quarterly letter for balanced and fixed income accounts.

 Manage cash flows in fixed income and balanced accounts and coordinate reinvestment with portfolio managers, consistent with portfolio composition guidelines.

 Review and make recommendations to revise the fixed income marketing presentations for taxable and tax-exempt clients.

 Review and recommend enhancements in procedures regarding fixed-income trading, execution and operations.

 Attend meetings with existing and prospective clients where a fixed income portfolio component is involved.
