We are a well established, leading manufacturer and distributor of safety products looking to further grow our government and defense sector. The Business Development Representative of Government Affairs will assist the efforts of growth & management of government opportunities and customers for all our product and services. The Business Development Representative of Government Affairs will generate sales leads by networking and building strategic relationships. The candidate will also respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotations (RFQ's) & bids and ensures the delivery of professional proposals and presentations. The Business Development Representative of Government Affairs will work with the sales and operational staff to ensure customers' needs and expectations are met and will report to and work directly with the VP of Government Affairs to increase sales growth and margin in the government sector.


Education / Experience

·      Bachelors Degree

·       At least 5 working years field experience in government sales, safety experience helpful. 

·       Experience with SWOT Analysis, tracking government funding as it relates to spend in safety vertical, manipulate existing contracts to build new opportunities.

·       Extroverted, dynamic, people-oriented personality

·       Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit

·       Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

·       Travel approximately 30% required once global events allow

·       Strong technology skills



Responsible for KPIs that include GP$ to budget, new opportunities

Identify opportunities for revenue growth within their government territory

Provide leadership for all client projects.

Use CRM tool, Rhythm, and Qlikview software to report and track client status, opportunities, and wins

Expand safety knowledge by pursuing ongoing training to deliver best-in -class safety solutions.

Build collaborative relationship with clients; engage active listening and adapt messaging of Arbill capabilities to achieve a long-term win/win solution.

Handles assigned accounts to grow and create new opportunities and close sales and contracts.
