Better Society Capital is a has a powerful social mission: to grow its investments by tackling social issues and inequalities in the UK. Financed by Dormant Assets and the four main UK high street banks, BSC has now committed over £950 million, which with co-investment from others has made over £2.8bn available for social investment. Our investments have now reached over 3,500 organisations across the UK, and our reach and range are huge, with a focus on impact venture, social outcomes, social property, and social lending, and we have ambitious goals in each area.

However, our work is now more important than ever. Despite progress in the last ten years, inequality and injustice is more apparent than ever, especially as we all respond to the devastating effects of the pandemic and now the cost-of-living crisis. We feel the need for social impact investment has never been greater and Better Society Capital has an important role to play.

We are now looking for a Non-Executive Director to join our team at this critical time for our organisation and for social impact investing. We are keen to speak to candidates with experience built working with social enterprise organisations or organisations in the social sector, with experience of social investment, or with current or recent experience of working within government or in the Civil Service.
