Hearing Dogs For Deaf People

Director of Performance Marketing and Communications.

We are seeking to appoint a new Director of Performance Marketing and Communications to join Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at an exciting phase for the organisation.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are dedicated to transforming the lives of those with hearing loss through the support of specially trained dogs. Our wonderful dogs don’t just alert their owners to important sounds—they also become loyal companions who boost confidence and combat isolation. With 12 million people in the UK experiencing hearing loss, including 1.2 million with severe or profound deafness, the impact of these remarkable dogs is profound.

As a member of the Executive Leadership team, our Director of Performance Marketing and Communications will play a key role in the development and delivery of our new strategy. You'll work closely with an outstanding new CEO, driving the charity forward with a strong approach to help Hearing Dogs for Deaf People achieve its goals and support even more individuals with hearing loss.

This role offers a dynamic, data-driven leader the chance to shape brand personality, drive customer engagement and foster growth. Working with an effective Board, CEO, and Executive team, you will co-chair a Board sub-committee focused on performance marketing and communication, collaborating with high level expertise to support you in your role.

Leading a team of around sixteen, you'll manage the charity’s brand, marketing, and communications, developing strategies, overseeing market research, data strategy, CRM, and supporter journeys. You'll lead multi-channel marketing efforts, leverage AI for optimisation, and be responsible for donor engagement and revenue growth, with investment to support your initiatives.

In every aspect of marketing and communications, you'll ensure our efforts respect and reflect the diversity of our audiences, prioritising accessibility, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive language and design.

If you are looking to make a difference within an ambitious, caring and compassionate charity, we would love to hear from you.
