Communications and Marketing Manager

Reporting to: Senior Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications

Core Duties:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong talent for developing compelling content for both internal and external audiences, including (but not limited to) parents, students, staff, and donors.
  • This role involves writing and editing content for the school’s website, social media platforms, and other institutional materials. The position requires collaboration with graphic design vendors to produce engaging communication materials.
  • Oversee external photography vendors and manage photography requests within the institution.
  • Work closely with the Head of Enrollment Management to oversee ad placements in external publications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production of a bi-annual magazine.
  • Create communication content in various formats, such as graphics, brochures, fact sheets, articles, and digital/social media.
  • Maintain consistent interaction with campus stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with creative vendors to ensure adherence to the school's style guide across all materials and advertisements.
  • Obtain cost estimates, assist in selecting illustrators/printers, and approve their work when necessary.
  • Utilize market research to inform appropriate marketing communication strategies.
  • Work with academic and administrative staff to gather information on topics related to the school.
  • Act as the communication liaison for the admissions team.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of four to six years of relevant experience. Successful campaign or project management experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer drug (hair) test and background check.
  • The physical demands of the role include sitting, typing for extended periods, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 20 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
