The Company seeking a highly technical Sr. API Platform Architect for the APIC4E Engineering team. In the Sr. API Platform Architect role, you will be part of Engineering team building the software required for enabling business divisions to build and drive the consumption of API governance and standards, thereby providing Zero touch engagement model across the BU organizations enabling speed and agility.

Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to gain and use an understanding of the business domain and existing technology platform to create designs that improve flexibility, functionality, re-usability harvested with best practices. Promote and drive self-reliance while improving results through feedback and metrics.

Provide technical expertise to the development teams by architecting major components of developer portal and back-end systems driving innovation towards zero touch engagements for The Company API developers. Ensure uniform enterprise-wide design standards are maintained by collaborating with Enterprise architecture community.  Conduct code reviews to ensure the implementation does not deviate from design.

Responsible for architecting the catalog and reporting ecosystem to help developer experience seamless by providing discovery of APIs by domain, maturity, industry and usage.

Skills Required:

·       10+ years of progressive development experience as a Software Engineer Hands-on development experience in Java, J2EE, RESTful Webservices, Apigee, Web Development.

·       5+ years of experience architecting an API platform

·       Uses deep experience with AWS (Cloud Computing: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Security Groups, ELB, Elastic Cache, Beanstalk, Redshift, Lambda, API Gateway, Kafka, SQS, SNS, SES, CloudFormation) for API and Microservices based project designs.

·       Understanding of Microservice design principles, patterns and best practices

·       Understanding of J2EE, RESTful web service design and implementation, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, JSON, YAML, Markdown, WSDL, XML, ANT, Maven.

·       Able to identify and develop architectural systems that meet the needs of clients

·       Analytical Skill: They are well versed in conducting system analysis to identify operational limitations and gaps in functional coverage.

·       Provide development leadership (Architecture, Design, Development) for medium to large sized projects and maintenance on our client facing online and mobile banking systems.

·       Drive department best practices, guidelines implementation and adhering to standards.

·       Experience building and maintaining large software platforms.
