As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will act as the ‘Cloud Practitioner’ across all of Corporate Systems & Data Organization’s cloud applications in AWS, and in the process, enriching our client experience with highly available, resilient and performant applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to architect and deploy applications using Gitlab, Terraform, AWS services and methodologies
  • Envision, Design and Build end-to-end Observability for Applications running on AWS Platform
  • Create and Manage Alarms and Dashboards using Cloud Watch and Terraform
  • Eliminate Toil by automating, optimizing and driving efficiency across how a unit of work moves from dev to production
  • Create, maintain and share technical documentation like Runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) used by engineers and other team members 
  • Ensure security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions
  • Solve problems related to operations of mission critical services and build automation to proactively detect and prevent their re-occurrences
  • Contribute to creation and operations of multi-region, multi-AZ distributed systems
  • Have full oversight into changes going into Production, asset tagging, cost and capacity analysis, vulnerability and patch management
  • Define auto-scaling processes for optimizing service and compute utilization
  • Be on-call rotation for application support

Technical Skills: 

  • Experience designing and building Data Lakes on AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Dynamo DB, Redshift, Glue etc.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, SonarQube in a cloud environment
  • Experience with technologies include: AWS, Linux and Data Warehouse Technologies
  • Ability to create and utilize Terraform templates to automate creation of AWS images
  • Demonstrable skillset in scripting languages, e.g. Bash, PowerShell Demonstrable skillset in programming languages, preferably JavaScript or Python
  • Advanced experience with System Administration with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) including Microsoft Active Directory, and LDAP integration.
  • A team player capable of high performance, flexibility in a dynamic working environment and the ability to lead
  • Skill and ability to train others on technical and procedural topics
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline recommended
  • 5 years of related systems engineering experience
  • AWS Certification in SysOps or DevOps preferred
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in designing and developing complex distributed IT solutions (e.g., cloud, distributed systems or high-performance computing experience)
  • Expert experience in Data Lake architecture and administration
  • Experience with Network troubleshooting
  • Experience in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) is a plus

The Company is seeking a strategic, relationship driven and analytical individual to support our new Strategic Vendor Transformation Office (SVTO). Our Vision is to develop a holistic strategic Vendor Transformation strategy focused on standardizing the management and maximizing the value of Strategic Partnership with a group of key suppliers.

The Engagement Manager role is designed to build and develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and strategic third-party service providers. Key internal functions are to partner with our Product, Technology and Operations teams as well as Third-Party Risk Management, Sourcing & Procurement. The Engagement Manager is responsible for executing on the Transformation Office strategy and improving relationships with key partners to drive the overall transformation of The Company.

 

Responsibilities:

·     Build and Facilitate an efficient Strategic Vendor Engagement Process.

·     Build knowledge and deep understanding of vendor products and services by closely working with stakeholders and service providers

·     Drive vendor engagement to ensure understanding of roadmaps and future strategic opportunities by building internal relationships and alignment with Strategic Vendor Transformation Office (SVTO) strategies

·     Build strong working relationships by Identifying key stakeholders, closely working with Sourcing and Business partners -

·     Build routines, processes, and cadences for meeting with key internal and external stakeholder, document processes and engagement notes -

·     Stay informed of The Company's high-level strategy and incorporate that into SVTO program operations to obtain deep understanding of services provided by Strategic Vendors and impact across the organization -

·     Partner with Strategic Vendor to track performance against Service Level Agreement and proactively solve roadblocks to prevent potential issues -

·     Drive and maximize consistency in managing vendor relationships by implementing strategies and adhering to the processes -

·     Provide high level and holistic status update on strategic partnerships to the Head of SVTO and to the executive management -

·     Collaborate closely within Global Vendor Management office, leadership and Third-Party Management team - Ensure optimal contract coverage by partnering with Sourcing and Procurement -

·     Support Vendor Management and Procurement during request-for-proposal, vendor assessment, vendor selection and onboarding events -

·     Assist in establishing of standardized objectives, requirements and KPIs/metrics. Evaluate potential vendor capabilities to improve overall performance -

·     Demonstrate high performance, take responsibility and work towards planning targets, overcome obstacles, setbacks and uncertainty -

·     Make timely decisions taking into considerations facts, goals, constraints, and risks Proactively identify, prioritize and track improvement opportunities with focus on quality of service and financial impact on The Company’s long-term strategy -

·     Responsible for issue identification, management and resolution to meet performance expectations, SLAs and overall support of SVTO strategy -

·     Identify alternatives to drive efficiencies via benchmarking, competitive quotes -

·     Review performance assessments to determine where vendors are providing value and where gaps exist Build strong relationships and work closely with key stakeholders and management to establish monitoring measures for vendors to achieve process and quality standards and commitments Support SVTO functions across vendors landscape -

·     Review risk data to understand criticality of vendor relationships -

·     Contribute to the company strategy and aligns the strategic priorities of own area with the direction and strategic priorities of the broader organization. -

·     Value teamwork & collaboration. Facilitate, actively engage in joined decision and share best practices. -

·     Display global perspective, convey an understanding of the organization's global, opportunities, capabilities into account when making plans and decisions. Support STVO minor function in support of an overall strategy -

·     Able to manage multiple strategic initiatives to achieve organizational objectives, fostering cross-functional collaboration and growth. -

·     Provide guidance to internal and external partners when prioritizing initiatives Manage development of programs weighing the need of business and clients for the most impactful and effective outcomes. -

 

Qualifications:


·     Working experience at the financial institution preferred for this role - Previous experience working with contracts, service level agreements -

·     Experience working with third-party service providers -

·     Ability to effectively negotiate is required for this role - Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills -

·     Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis -

·     Must be able to work autonomously, exercise good judgment and take decisive action -

·     Organized, prompt, proficient and self-starter -

·     Efficient and effective ability to manage a program while owning individual projects -

·     Individual must be able to work well with others and show the ability to foster and maintain relationship -

·     Experience working with service providers - Working knowledge on Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Statement of Work (SOW) -

·     Demonstrated balance of both strategic and operational capacities -

·     Partners extremely well with internal colleagues and external partners -

·     Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, management, computer science, engineering, or related technical field) or equivalent work experience. -

·     Previous experience in vendor management in IT and financial institution is preferred.
