Sr. Scrum Team Lead – Technology Modernization, Tempe, Austin, Charlotte, Atlanta.

 

BANK is seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Lead to lead and drive the value delivery for two or more cloud (AWS) migration scrum teams. This role is aligned to the Cloud Centre of enablement in the Technology Excellence (CTO office).

Responsibilities include alignment with business stakeholders, working with cross-functional partners, and owning oversight of execution to achieve successful value delivery. The daily application of agile and lean principles, championing scrum practices, coaching and training team members on Agile methodology, and advocating continuous improvement to build high-performing teams are key aspects of this position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership building multiple high-performing Agile teams, coaching team members in the execution of the practices and responsibilities of their individual roles and as a team together
  • Champion the adoption and improvement of Scrum practices on direct and indirect teams
  • Lead increment and sprint planning sessions, daily scrum, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Building a psychologically safe environment where problems are raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged with an emphasis on problem-solving
  • Responsible for the health and planning of the sprint backlog and prioritizations of epics, features, and stories as part of the cadence for regular delivery of value to the organization
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to prepare and clarify the product backlog
  • Document and lead remediation efforts and removal of impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
  • Consistently demonstrate a bias for action with the technical aptitude to deliver customer value
  • Collaborates with Agile coaches to maintain accountability and compliance with the BANK defined Agile delivery methodology
  • Utilization of all necessary internal BANK toolsets to meet BANK framework, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements including but not limited to leveraging Jira and Confluence to elicit and define business and technical epics, features, and stories
  • Build great partnerships and relationships with globally distributed cross-functional partners (i.e., Business, Product, Technology, Design, Architecture, API, Dev Sec Ops, Legal, Compliance, et al.)
  • Assure adherence to banking audit and regulatory practices in the completion of delivered assets to bank and customer users, ensuring full compliance with corporate standards

Education and Experience (required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years previous experience in the Scrum Master role for technology delivery
  • Previous experience coaching technology teams (engineers), Business and Shared services through the adoption of Agile practices
  • Familiar with various software development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), incl. processes, roles and responsibilities, entry and exit criteria, and key deliverables for each stage 
  • Previous experience with organizing and coaching the cloud migration teams
  • Previous experience with Agile collaboration tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence) and high proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience organizing and executing team training and mentoring
  • Experience with distributed Agile teams and Scrum of Scrum
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)/ Professional Scrum Master (PSM)

Education and Experience (preferred):

  • Past developer experience is highly desired (preferably in agile setup)
  • Specific experience with Jira, Confluence, Kanban and similar tools and methodologies.
  • An ideal candidate will also have technical experience working with various technology stacks and coaching development teams 
  • Certifications Preferred (not required)

o Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

o Professional Scrum Master (PSM)

  • Strong knowledge of managing Jira backlogs, Kanban boards, JQL, dashboards, and integration with Confluence
  • Experience with eazyBI and/or PowerBI
