UAV Integration Engineer

Job Summary
Company is currently in search of a strong technical candidate for a UAV Systems
Integration Engineer. The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinarian with capabilities in
mechatronics (hardware, software, control systems), UAV systems and RF Data Links.
Key Responsibilities
● Designing, Prototyping and Implementing innovative solutions for multiple drone
platforms
● Testing and Validating UAV system performance
● Troubleshooting autonomous flight systems
● Working with operational teams on root cause analysis of manufacturing failures and
field returns
● Some travel possible
Required Skills
● BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
● 5 years demonstrated engineering experience in multidisciplinary product development
● Strong experience and technical understanding of UAV or drone platforms including
flight control systems
● Strong experience in RF/Radio data links including Remote Controls, and Digital radios,
and GNSS/GPS systems
● Experience with networking including IP Addressing, Subnets, partitioning, VLANs, &
wireless networks
● Experience working in an agile development environment and being part of a highly
integrated team collaborating with hardware and software engineering teams.
● Effective verbal and written communication.
Desired Skills
● Experience in integrating complex RF electronic systems or aerospace systems and
software
● Experience with rapid prototyping and in transitioning prototypes to production systems
● Programming and Software Design Experience (C++, Python, ROS framework)
● Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying complex hardware systems,
including experience with UAV chassis wiring
● Experience with EMI testing and mitigation
● Experience doing field work
● Experience with and understanding of common Flight Controllers / Autopilots (Hardware
& Software)
● Part 107a certification.
