Staff Accountant: 

Seeking someone ready for an exciting opportunity to join our service-oriented team and grow with our well-established and growing business. This position contributes to our success by: reconciling accounts such as cash, fixed assets, prepaid assets, accounts receivable, preparing month-end journal entries, managing company credit cards and supporting other accounting functions as needed for multiple subsidiaries.

Job Responsibilities:

· Reconcile bank and company credit card accounts

· Review expense reports and ensure correct coding

· Analyze GL Accounts to verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors

· Analyze account balance trends to identify potential errors and unusual activity

· Support timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts

· Support external audits

· Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to accounting transactions

· Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports

Required:

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with computerized accounting software applications, spreadsheets and word processing. MS Office experience required.
  • Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to appropriately handle confidential information
  • A positive, enthusiastic, can do attitude

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance

1-3 years of professional accounting experience or internship

NetSuite accounting software experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location/Schedule:

  • Sandy, UT
  • Monday to Friday
