Accounting Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our Blue Ash, OH team. This role will offer you the chance to grow within the company and assume greater responsibilities as you grow into the role. You’ll have the support and guidance of an experienced mentor over the next 12-18 months, making this an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step into a leadership role in a small business environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s financial operations, including month-end close, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
• Provide insights and strategies for future financial growth and cost efficiency.
• Manage relationships with vendors and ensure positive cash flow.
• Mentor and supervise the Accounting Assistant while also taking charge of payroll, credit, and customer relations.
• Ensure compliance with banking, regulatory requirements, and continuously improve cost accounting processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records while upholding confidentiality and integrity.

Required Skills and Experience

• Five years of experience in accounting.
• Bachelor’s in accounting or related field; CPA a plus but not required
• Proficiency with Sage, Excel, and report writing (Crystal).
• Professional experience working with small businesses, in manufacturing, or technology industries.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with agility and versatility in a small business environment.
