Director of Regulatory Examinations[EB1] 

About the role

Our Client is seeking a Director of Regulatory Examinations to oversee its regulatory examination and audit functions. The Director of Regulatory Examinations is responsible for the intake of regulatory examinations and investor/agency audits, compilation of requested materials, preparation of company responses, and facilitation of negotiations to achieve superior audit results. The Director of Regulatory Examinations works under the direction of the General Counsel and will be asked to assist with other legal and regulatory matters on an ad hoc basis. The Director of Regulatory Examinations is an essential member of the Legal and Regulatory team and is key to the success of the department’s operations.

Essential Duties

·        Overseeing an effective examination program

·        Facilitating professional communication with auditors and examiners

·        Responsibility for examination requests and the compilation of responsive materials

·        Responsibility for tracking due dates and ensuring timely submission of materials and responses

·        Preparing written responses to Reports of Examination (ROEs)

·        Assisting the General Counsel with other Legal and Regulatory tasks on an ad hoc basis

Who you are

·        4+ years’ experience in a mortgage compliance role

·        2+ years’ experience with regulatory examinations

·        Working knowledge of Loan Origination Systems, State Examination Systems, and the Microsoft Office suite of products

·        Ability to utilize technology and software solutions to pull required information for examination and audit

·        Working knowledge of consumer financial laws and regulations

·        Self-directed and able to thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
