We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our esteemed Platform Engineering team. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the development of a secure, dependable, and user-friendly platform that empowers our teams to efficiently construct, test, deploy, and monitor our clients' suite of products. Your primary responsibilities will involve creating and maintaining software solutions that automate our software delivery processes and orchestrate our infrastructure.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an individual with expertise in cloud infrastructure and software development, as you will be instrumental in constructing a new system using state-of-the-art cloud native technologies. The ideal candidate will have held similar positions within a rapidly expanding SaaS company. It is important to note that this is not a DevOps role, but rather a software engineering position that focuses on infrastructure, tooling, and software delivery. Joining our remote-only team, you will have the chance to work from anywhere. Candidates must be based in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain code to automate our public cloud infrastructure, software delivery pipeline, and other enablement tools.

• Create and maintain code for platform services consumed internally.

• Produce comprehensive documentation of system design, configurations, processes, and decisions to support our asynchronous and distributed team culture.

• Collaborate effectively with a team of remote engineers to construct our client's platform.

• Utilize modern technology stack encompassing containers, serverless infrastructure, Golang, Vue, public cloud services, and other cutting-edge technologies in the SaaS field.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience automating infrastructure through code using technologies such as AWS CloudFormation/CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.

• Proficiency in GitHub Actions.

• Broad and deep understanding of AWS services.

• Knowledge of operational excellence principles.

• Previous involvement in the construction and support of enterprise SaaS products.

• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and implement them pragmatically.

• Aptitude for breaking down complex technical problems and avoiding obstacles arising from decisions or dependencies.

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, C/C++, etc.).

• Familiarity with implementing secure design principles in cloud environments.

• Strong inclination for taking action and maintaining open and frequent communication.

• Comfort and competence in written communication, both technical and non-technical.

• Passionate about automation.

• Experience working in and enthusiasm for startup environments.

• Proficiency in serverless technologies.

• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
