KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Systems Analyst for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.
Work Location: This position is hybrid.
Job Description:
This System Analyst position involves supporting various workforce development applications for LEO – E & T, including the One Stop Management Information System (OSMIS), OSMIS Dashboard, Career Explorer, Michigan Adult Education Reporting System (MAERS), and Information Management, Performance, and Customer Tracking (IMPACT) for our client.
Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements, analyze business processes, and improve them; manage requirements and conduct software testing.
- Assess current ("As Is") and desired ("To Be") processes, documenting gaps; gather end-user requirements through interviews, focus groups, and stakeholder discussions.
- Categorize and segment requirements, identifying solutions to address client challenges.
- Maintain up-to-date requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans using tools such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Azure, and generate reports for management.
- Facilitate planning and requirements meetings, contributing to agile product development; participate in Sprint ceremonies.
- Collaborate with the product development team to translate requirements into technical specifications; design, develop, and modify software systems, using analysis and mathematical models.
- Maintain reusable scripts, technical documentation, and specifications; create user stories and initial wireframes to guide solution architecture; develop software test plans.
- Participate in regression testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing; conduct sessions and focus groups to gather feedback on functionality developed during agile sprints.
- Act as a liaison between client business users and the development team, communicating requirements and technical solutions effectively.
- Collaborate to generate new product ideas and enhance existing solutions; support program management documentation and develop presentations for client meetings.
- Participate in team and customer meetings, document notes and action items; possess basic knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), Structured Query Language (SQL), and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Visio).
Required Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience as a System/Business Analyst, including conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and gathering requirements from customers.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and SQL.
Nice to Have:
- Preferred experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with SAP BO is a plus.
