Job Overview

 

The position of Mobile Test engineer will involve extensive manual and some automated test of enterprise mobile applications. The successful candidate will conduct manual and automated software testing, design and maintain test software code and support various iOS and Android based applications. This person will be an integral part of the mobile development team tasked with creating mobile applications for a world wide user base. As a test engineer III you will handle complex technical challenges and perform programming and quality assurance tasks with minimal supervision. This role may also involve leading automation efforts on projects of moderate scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

 

- Manual testing responsibility in Mobile – Native IOS or Android,

- Test Case creation

- Develop and enhance centralized automated testing frameworks and harnesses to run tests and generate quality reports.

- Write and maintain automated test scripts for software development projects.

- Create, update, and approve test plans and scripts to align with standards and strategic IT goals.

- Generate test data, including both valid and invalid records, to thoroughly evaluate program logic and system workflows.

- Collaborate with end-users to organize user acceptance testing, as well as alpha and beta testing phases.

- Ensure the completion and documentation of tests, resolving issues within a Continuous Delivery framework.

- Provide accurate time estimates for QA-related tasks.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.

- Mentor junior Developers in Test as needed.

- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation.

- Engage in Defect Management processes to identify and resolve software issues.

- Influence the design and testing measures required to secure solutions against security threats or system failures.

- Adhere to and enforce compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Assess risks and conduct robustness and functionality testing in a Continuous Delivery model.

 

Qualifications

 

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

- Four years of progressively responsible professional experience or substantial internship experience.

- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant technical systems and functions.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient problem-solving abilities.

- Intermediate skills in engineering/programming, troubleshooting, web technologies, and programming methodologies.

- Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment.

- Must meet any physical requirements necessary for the job, such as extended periods of sitting and using computer equipment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

- Experience in testing cloud-based applications within a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment, particularly in a service-oriented architecture.

- Background in testing systems for scalability, fault tolerance, load handling, and other operational aspects of data center services is highly beneficial.
