KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Business Analyst for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to drive requirements for a high-profile project. The role involves collaboration with a dynamic team of 35 Project Managers and Business Analysts, along with various city departments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead discussions with the Water Department to document requirements for improved wireless telecom connectivity in city facilities, detailing intended outcomes, features, and functionality.
- Develop and document functional specifications for wireless system enhancements.
- Ensure clear documentation of requirements to avoid scope creep and non-value-added activities.
- Adhere to industry best practices and our client’s PMO processes in documenting business requirements.
- Create functional workflow diagrams to capture business goals and high-level scope.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service, integrity, and a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
Required Skills:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a background in IT and knowledge of the software lifecycle (waterfall and/or agile).
- Experience in translating physical business infrastructure needs into detailed requirements.
- Ability to navigate various physical city sites, including construction and rugged terrain, to gather site-specific needs.
- Skilled in developing requirements based on professional standards (e.g., PMI or similar).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least five years of experience as a business analyst on IT infrastructure projects.
- Capable of coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives and industry best practices (network security, coverage, bandwidth, etc.).
- Ideal candidates possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business analysis skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with wireless communications (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, etc.)
- Professional certification in PMI (PMP, Agile, or similar) is highly desirable.
