Work Location: This position is onsite.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS (Geographic Information System) Business Analyst to play a crucial role in our 18-day meter reading project. This position involves leveraging spatial data to support decision-making processes within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Management:
- Analyze spatial data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights relevant to business objectives.
- Clean, process, and organize geospatial datasets.
Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs for spatial analysis and mapping solutions.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather necessary information.
Mapping and Visualization:
- Create maps, charts, and other visualizations to effectively communicate spatial analysis results.
- Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and specialized business intelligence tools.
Business Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance business processes through GIS technology.
- Automate manual tasks, streamline workflows, and introduce new spatial analysis techniques.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support for users interacting with GIS data and tools.
- Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and offer one-on-one assistance.
Project Management:
- Manage tasks from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling meetings, coordinating resources, and stakeholder communication.
