KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Project Manager for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.
Work Location: This position is hybrid.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to provide oversight, leadership, and accountability for multiple small to medium-sized projects or a single large project.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management for one or more large, complex projects
- Manage projects that typically involve vendor participation, complex schedules, and integration with other systems
- Oversee large projects with durations longer than 6 months, involving 20+ team members, requiring communication at the Agency Leadership level, and presenting medium to high risk
Key Duties:
- Ensure alignment with the State of Michigan's project management methodology (SUITE), investment management, and systems engineering methodology
- Perform long-term release planning based on organizational direction
- Regularly interact with project management teams to monitor budget, quality, and schedule status
- Escalate issues and risks to executives as needed and perform project quality control activities to meet project scope expectations
Required Skills:
· Clear and concise communication skills
· Project Management Experience: 3-5 years
- Strong leadership skills with a basic understanding of IT infrastructure and network communications (e.g., Firewall, VIP, F5 Listener, Port, etc.)
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, web, and virtual/cloud environments
- Ability to evaluate technical requirements and propose solutions that align with business objectives and adhere to SOM best practices and industry standards
