KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Java Developer for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.

 

Work Location: This position is hybrid.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Development Lead to spearhead the design, implementation, and delivery of system and software architecture, strategies, and quality assurance plans. The successful candidate will design, prototype, develop, and implement solutions to achieve business results for our clients. This role demands an experienced expert capable of leading and delivering solutions using object-oriented, service-oriented, and n-tier architectures. The candidate will adopt, develop, and execute a robust software development lifecycle, adhering to industry best practices, including those set by our client.


Responsibilities:

·     Leading the development of long-term technology strategy and planning for the entire organization by leveraging existing resources and acquiring new ones.

·     Actively participating in project teams to clarify business needs and requirements, perform analysis, design, development, integration, and maintenance of systems across the enterprise.

·     Engaging with internal organizations to maximize delivery capabilities and provide value to clients.

·     Leading the development of delivery approaches, labor, and cost estimates.

·     Managing projects or tasks using our client and industry project delivery methodologies and best practices.

·     Planning and accomplishing goals independently with a high degree of creativity and latitude.



Required Skills:

·     Must reside within a 70-mile radius of Lansing, Michigan.

·     Must have at least ten years of post-undergraduate degree experience as a Java code

·     developer.

·     Proficiency in Java, J2EE.

·     Experience in designing and implementing Java MVC frameworks (Struts MVC) and ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA), along with JavaScript, Web Services, and EJB.

·     Experience in developing procedures and queries with Microsoft SQL Server (SQL 2016 or higher) or equivalent databases (Oracle/Postgres).

·     Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

·     Experience in performing analysis and requirements gathering with customers.

·     Experience with both web-based and client-server-based systems architecture.

·     Proficiency in Object-Oriented Analysis, design, and programming.

·     Experience with systems development methodologies used in the development of new systems and enhancements.

·     Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of IT coworkers and users.

·     Ability to prepare detailed written instructions and documentation.

·     Experience with Java batch jobs.

·     Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, diagnosing and resolving complex problems quickly.


Nice to Have:

·     Domain knowledge of public retirement systems (Clarety Experience) is highly desired.

·     Ability to mock up/wireframe website architecture changes.

·     Experience in maintaining websites with a CMS (Sitecore preferred).

·     Working knowledge of UX.

·     Experience with WebSphere development technologies.

·     Proficiency in Java Springboot and microservices.

·     Experience with cloud-based development and deployment.

·     Familiarity with Siebel/Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM applications.

·     Experience with NICE InContact.

·     Jenkins or Azure DevOps experience.

·     Experience with Git/Jira for file repository systems.

·     Familiarity with FileNet Suite of products.

·     Experience with Jasper Reports and PDF document processing.

·     Proficiency in JUnit, Maven, Log4j, SoapUI, Corticon Rules Engine technology, and WebSphere Liberty.
