KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a IT Business Analyst for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.
Job Description:
We seek several experienced Business Analysts to drive requirements for high-visibility IT projects. These roles involve collaborating with our team of 35 Project Managers (PMs) and Business Analysts (BAs), as well as various City departments.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate discussions with our client’s department personnel to document requirements and specifications, including intended outcomes, features, and functionality.
- Develop and document functional specifications for system enhancements.
- Ensure clarity of documented requirements to prevent scope creep, gold plating, or non-value-added activities.
- Document business requirements according to industry best practices and our client’s PMO processes.
- Create functional workflow diagrams to capture business goals and high-level scope.
- Provide superior customer service, demonstrate integrity, and commit to innovation, efficiency, and fiscally responsible activities.
Required Skills:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a background in IT and knowledge of the software lifecycle (waterfall and/or agile).
- Ability to develop requirements based on professional standards (e.g., PMI or similar).
- A four-year degree or equivalent education in Information Technology or a related field, with a minimum of five years' experience as a business analyst working on IT projects.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Ideal candidates possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business analysis skills.
Nice to Have:
- Professional and current certification in PMI is a plus (PMP, Agile, or similar certification).
