Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer

 Location:

Remote (must reside within the State of Utah). Occasional onsite meetings in Salt Lake City required.

Job Description:

KēSTA I.T. is actively seeking a Full Stack Engineer for a long-term consulting engagement with our Salt Lake City, Utah based client.

Responsibilities:

·       Develop and maintain Java web applications and web services.

·       Enhance existing applications and create new ones with additional features.

·       Work on applications that include tracking vital events and issuing government certificates.

·       Design, implement, test, and maintain required software.

·       Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot, leveraging AWS for serverless development.

·       Integrate applications with external systems and ensure data compliance with security standards.

·       Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

·       Collaborate with cross functional teams, including business analysts, other developers, and stakeholders.

·       Assist in creating a user friendly and intuitive web platform with a focus on scalability and performance.

·       Use Agile methodologies, specifically SAFe, to guide project priorities and iterations.

 Key Skills and Requirements:

   Technical Skills:

·       4+ years of experience with Java Core, Java EE, Java Persistence API (JPA), and Java Server Faces (JSF).

·       Proficiency in Spring Boot and backend serverless development using AWS.

·       MIRTH Experience

·       Experience with Postgres SQL and PL/pgSQL.

·       Familiarity with PHP, Drupal, and related technologies.

·       Experience with RESTful web services and API design.

·       Strong knowledge of database design and SQL.

·       Experience with source control tools such as GitHub.

·       Preferred experience with HL7, XML, JSON, and ETL data processing.

   Agile and Scrum Skills:

· 

·       Strong understanding of SAFe / Scrum Principles.

   Soft Skills:

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Strong problem solving abilities and logical thinking.

·       Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.

·       Capable of instructing and guiding others, and managing conflicts.
