Mid level SDET / QA Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Join our innovative team as an Software Development Engineer in Test / Quality Assurance Engineer! In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's cutting-edge software solution tailored for the public sector. As a key member of our technology team, you'll collaborate closely with developers to evaluate and test various components, including RESTful APIs and web applications. Your insights and expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and prioritize sprint tasks through our project management tools.

- Conduct thorough manual and automated testing of software components, meticulously documenting and analyzing results.

- Perform a range of testing types, including Functional, Non-Functional, Security, and Performance testing.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive testing documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

- Harness your coding skills to create and manage automated test suites, enhancing our testing capabilities.

- Utilize industry-standard tools and platforms for version control and code management.

 

Requirements:

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

- Demonstrated experience in automated software quality assurance, with a minimum of 2 years in a professional setting.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and bug tracking systems.

- Proficiency in C#.NET and related technologies for software development.

- Experience with automated testing frameworks like NUnit and Selenium WebDriver.

- Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

 

Desired Knowledge and Abilities:

- Familiarity with relevant technologies and frameworks, including RESTful APIs and SOAP.

- Proficiency in creating and executing API requests using various tools.

- Ability to work effectively in remote settings, leveraging collaboration tools.

- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.

- Experience with database management and SQL.

 

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in HTML 5, CSS, Typescript, and JavaScript.

- Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular or Blazor.

- Strong understanding of web services and API testing tools like Postman.

- Solid grasp of C#, .NET Core, and SQL.

- Familiarity with Git or similar version-control software.

- Experience in unit and integration testing methodologies.

 

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with AWS Lambda Functions, RDS, and Elasticache.

- Knowledge of data infrastructure services like Amazon SQS and SNS.

- Understanding of user interface design principles.

- Experience working in production AWS environments.
