KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Data Modernization Analyst for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.
Work Location: This position is hybrid.
Job Description:
In this role you will provide general support to the agency on projects focusing on Strategy A3: Data Modernization.
Responsibilities:
· Cataloging and organizing agency data resources to create a public-facing, agency-wide data catalog.
· Assisting in selecting and implementing an updated process for managing external data and public records requests.
· Supporting the creation and execution of project timelines.
· Communicating effectively with agency staff to ensure project goals are met and deadlines are adhered to.
· Collecting, organizing, and leveraging large datasets across various subjects to facilitate easier access and analysis using data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, catalogs, etc.
Required Skills:
· Experience in the day-to-day aspects of multi-faceted data management and/or modernization projects, including planning, organizing, and budgeting.
· Proficiency in collecting, cataloging, and leveraging large datasets across multiple subjects for enhanced data utilization and analysis using data lakes, warehouses, catalogs, etc.
· Strong communication skills to work effectively with coworkers involved in data collection, management, and development to advance the agency's data modernization goals.
· Experience adhering to national standards for data and IT security, particularly in managing protected health information.
· Working knowledge of data management, visualization, and analysis tools for organizing, leveraging, and sharing diverse data forms.
· Experience working with various vendors of modern data management and analysis software, systems, and applications.
Nice to Have:
