Join our client's dynamic Engineering department as a Lead in Machine Learning with a special focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP). We are in search of a candidate who possesses a profound expertise in the realm of machine learning algorithms, is adept in Python, and holds comprehensive knowledge in the principles of software development. The role demands hands-on experience in the operational deployment of machine learning frameworks, especially within AWS ecosystems.
Your Role:
- Spearhead the creation, enhancement, and sustenance of NLP-driven machine learning systems that are highly scalable.
- Oversee the machine learning lifecycle from initial data analysis and model creation to evaluation, testing, and launching.
- Facilitate the integration of machine learning algorithms into live environments utilizing AWS.
- Work in synergy with our team of data experts and software developers to transform complex machine learning models into robust production-grade applications.
- Conduct ongoing validation and refinement of ML applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Advocate for and enhance software development methodologies to guarantee the integrity and efficiency of data.
- Provide technical leadership in design and code evaluations, and contribute actively to team deliberations with insightful technical advice.
- Remain abreast of the latest developments in AI/ML, advocating for the adoption of cutting-edge practices and technologies within the team.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A foundational degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a Master’s or Doctorate degree being highly advantageous.
- A minimum of 7 years in the Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence domain, with a pronounced emphasis on NLP.
- Proficiency in Python programming, coupled with a solid grasp of software engineering principles.
- Demonstrated experience in rolling out ML workflows into live settings, particularly through AWS.
- Familiarity with ML libraries such as PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Tensorflow.
- Competency in managing extensive data sets and a thorough understanding of data analysis processes.
- A robust knowledge of NLP methodologies, including tokenization, entity recognition, and advanced language models like BERT and GPT.
- Exceptional ability to elucidate complex technical notions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- An autonomous, detail-oriented problem-solver with excellent analytical capabilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with NLP applications in languages other than English.
- Proficiency in Elastic Search.
- Acquaintance with MLOps methodologies and tools.
