Position Overview:

As a Systems Engineer on our Infrastructure team, you will manage, implement, and monitor our Azure cloud environment and on-premises systems at our production sites. Your main goal is to ensure system and user uptime while assisting in designing system configurations that align with our technology vision. This role involves maintaining and upgrading existing systems, documenting processes, installing new systems, and monitoring current performance.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design system configurations, direct installations, and define, document, and enforce system standards to establish a robust systems environment.

- Implement new solutions and enhance the resilience of current systems, providing essential support for Azure cloud environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

- Optimize system performance by monitoring performance, resolving system issues, scheduling upgrades, and working with partners on system optimization.

- Support both cloud and on-premises systems, including virtual machines, storage solutions, databases, and enterprise applications.

- Collaborate with security teams to secure all systems, establish and enforce security policies, and monitor access, including timely software and firmware upgrades.

- Maintain an accurate inventory of all system devices and manage the distribution of equipment to necessary sites.

- Keep documentation on processes, procedures, and infrastructure up to date and accurate.

- Efficiently process and prioritize work requests and escalations.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Preferred Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems administration.

- At least 4 years of technical computer experience.

- At least 1 year of experience in cloud security.

- Knowledge of cloud management and automation tools.

- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
