Position Summary

As the Director of IT Infrastructure, you will oversee the IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for the infrastructure technology stack, systems development life cycle that supports both internal and external customers. This role is responsible for the performance, functionality, and reliability of 24x7 enterprise supporting the IT services consumed across the enterprise. These services include the IT Infrastructure supporting the application suite, Technical Support, Voice, and Field Services. This role performs a variety of moderately to highly complex tasks required for the support of users and system requirements. The Director is expected to collaborate across the IT leadership team and business leaders to establish strategies, infrastructure roadmaps, and priorities in order to meet company objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Serve as the senior IT leader in the infrastructure, communications, and technology (ICT) discipline assisting the organizations in expanding the reliability, and resiliency, and security of the environment.
  • Assures that systems and technology stack enable the business and business processes, deliver information for decision making, or connect employees, customers, suppliers and shareholders with easy to use, available, reliable, serviceable, responsive and cost effective systems and/or technology.
  • Act as the center of excellence to IT management, utilizing deep specialized expertise and industry standards for the Architecture and Infrastructure domains to assist in the development of risk mitigation and delivery of robust and resilient solutions.
  • Define, manage, implement the support, and release roadmap for the infrastructure services.
  • Facilitate weekly incidents, defects and enhancement review and prioritization.
  • Deliver a robust and resilient 24x7 infrastructure to support the enterprise informed by key performance metrics.
  • Define and confirm key processes. Align the organization structure, resource requirements, tool requirements, key performance metrics and management processes for each of the functional areas within areas of responsibility.
  • Prepare and present executive summaries of the service performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize and schedule release/support requests. Work with subject matter experts and identify issues and deliver solutions.
  • Manage change.
  • Operate with a commitment to embracing emerging trends, operations and technologies that are applicable to the company.
  • Collaborate with the PM Office and business function on projects, functional enhancements, and break fix tickets. Develop and manage priorities for projects, team members and 3rd party resources.
  • Communicate and coordinate development/ testing prior to progressing enhancements to the production environment.
  • Work with other Business Application Managers to ensure compliance with IT governance, sound change management practices, and meet deliverables. Maintain a supportable environment. 

                      

Qualifications

  • Gather and analyze requirements to develop project plans, prepare project scope where needed and contribute to technical design solutions.
  • Participates with peers, Directors and Vice President of IT in strategic planning for systems that cater to future company growth and new company ventures, leverage partnerships with vendors to drive technology advancement resulting in business value for customers.
  • Experience in leading complex teams in creating productive development teams with sound development to production framework that is measurable.
  • Minimally, 5-7 years of experience managing and delivering robust IT infrastructure.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity concepts as well as robust security concepts preserving the companies operating methods and practices for 24x7 operations.
  • Full project life cycle experience.


Education and/or Experience

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and a minimum of 10 years related experience and a minimum of 5 years IT leadership experience required.
