Position: Intervention Specialist (Special Education Teacher)

Status: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Several vacancies at various academies across Ohio (Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Cleveland, Youngstown)

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Bonus Structure depending on qualifications

Our client is a charter school management organization that serves over 60,000 students from K-12 across the US through over 100 schools. They are highly regarded as a leading performer among charter and conventional schools. Additionally, employee surveys have consistently shown that staff feel their work is meaningful and impactful. They are seeking to hire a number of passionate Intervention Specialists (Special Education Teachers) on a permanent basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Be an inspiration to students to excel academically and think creatively to reach their full potential
• Deliver specially designed instruction developed to meet unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability
• Leverage tools such as: a resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services as appropriate
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, social works, speech language pathologist or other support positions depending on students IEP's

Requirements:

• Valid Teacher License in Ohio
• Previous special education teaching or intervention services highly preferred
• Must hold either: K-12 Intervention Specialist license OR K-12 Educational Handicapped license
