Role: Project Manager - Health Systems

Location: 100% Remote within Canada (Central Time Zone)

Status: Independent Contactor Duration: 1 year + expected renewals

Rate: Open depending on experience



Our client is a leading healthcare institution involved in the planning and coordination of the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. This role will be part of a team that is transforming the provincial healthcare system to improve patient care and support strategic healthcare system alignment.


Application Requirements:


  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in design, health science, business administration or similar field.
  • Certification in change management. Proof of the certification is requested with the response.
  • 5 years’ experience utilizing a structured methodology such as Prosci to deliver organizational change management strategies and plans.
  • 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager providing design and implementation of operational readiness or go-live workplans, tools, templates and activities to successfully deliver technology, business or process changes in a complex sector such as healthcare, financial services or other public sectors.
  • 3. 5 years’ experience implementing large transformational projects including facility design, organizational and service redesign projects.
  • 4. 5 years’ experience providing program or project leadership of large business transformation activities that includes co-planning and program/project management with diverse stakeholder groups and working with executive leaders. Experience should include planning, facilitating and actioning multi-disciplinary teams to move project work forward, oversight of project managers/team leaders, organizational change management, risk management, and reporting to executive sponsors. 
  • 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager working in the healthcare environment. Healthcare is defined as Acute Care, Primary Care, or Long Term Care.
  • 6. 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager working on projects in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. Experience should include relationship building, understanding cultural safety, and leadership that is flexible and adaptable.
