The Role


As Head of Sales you will be an accomplished and experienced sales professional, with exceptional lead generation, outreach, relationship building and deal closing skills. Commercially minded with a proven background in delivering against revenue targets, you will be brimming with ideas and contacts and able to hit the ground running. Leading a new department set up, you will be initially comfortable working independently to personal KPIs and revenue targets. Once established you will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing new team members and delivering against both personal and team KPIs.You will be adept at generating new business leads, pitching ‘big ticket’ deals and winning new business. A flexible and dynamic approach – and willingness to travel overseas – is essential.


About You


You are a very ambitious, highly organised sales professional who is results driven, with a proactive and tenacious sales approach. You have the ability to confidently identify, target, engage, negotiate and close new business deals to reach individual KPI’s and revenue targets.


Client facing and personable, you have exceptional networking and relationship building skills and experience of attending industry events. Public speaking skills are an advantage but not essential.


Ideally, you will be an avid social media user, with a passion and flair for viral video – with knowledge of social media companies, web publishers, content creators and trends across platforms including, YouTube, Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram and Snapchat.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous executive sales and media experience. This may be within the TV, agency, digital media, online video or traditional advertising or entertainment industries. But more importantly you will independently driven, working under your own initiative - target motivated and incentivised, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with a proven history of meeting sales orientated KPIs.


Responsibilities


  • Identify, pitch, negotiate and close new sales around supply of content and services – to both existing and new markets
  • Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets.
  • Work cross functionally with Content Acquisitions, Rights Management, Business Development & Marketing teams
  • Maintain a high volume of daily sales and marketing outreach
  • Be client facing, arranging face to face meetings, attending network/industry events and meeting new potential clients in order to pitch new business
  • Use your sales ability to confidently leverage, negotiate and win/close new deals, for our content and production services
  • Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers


Requirements


  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Minimum of 3-4 years sales experience in a similar industry, digital publisher, brand or agency
  • Key understanding of social media platforms and digital content
  • A proven ability to deliver new business
  • Experience of running successful pipelines
  • Setting and meeting outreach KPIs, conversion rates
  • Deep experience in acquiring new customers through outbound sales activity.
  • Proactively minded – always striving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Hubspot/Salesforce a plus.
  • Experience of working with marketing platforms, such as Campaign Monitor, Hubspot, Linkedin etc
  • In-depth understanding of commercial contracts, IP rights and content licensing agreements would be advantageous
  • Experience of successful people/team management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint or similar
