The Hire Solution has partnered with an Austin based consumer product goods (CPG) manufacturer for the full-time position of Senior Project Accountant. The Senior Project Accountant is a full-time position that is responsible for all aspects of the inventory and cost process related to the beverage products manufactured, and is an integral part of the accounting team that will interact with other functional departments as well as our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain cost components for all beverage products
• Verify cost and prices for all new items in inventory
• Identify cost variances and work with suppliers to obtain resolution, including filing claims
• Estimate and implement freight rates and other fees charged by suppliers
• Process monthly sales tax and use tax returns
• Provide price changes to other departments
• Streamline of processes, procedures and effectiveness of internal controls over the costing of beverage products
• Ensure proper general ledger coding on invoices for Accounts Payable to process
• Work cross-functionally within the business and other functional departments
• Oversee and ensure that supplier billbacks are made and collected from suppliers
• Provide support to other members of the Accounting Department or ad hoc projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications of a Cost Accountant:

• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in Project, Cost or General Accounting
• Attention to detail, customer service orientation, problem solving and follow-up skills
• Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
• ERP experience to include NetSuite, Oracle or similar highly desired.
