The Hire Solution has partnered with a progressive and growing professional services company located in north Austin for the position of Accounts Payable Accountant. This is a permanent position that offers a hybrid work schedule.

Our growing organization is seeking a Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records and provide general administrative support to our team. This role requires high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-office, hybrid position and the office is located in central Austin. This role reports to the Administration & Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounts payable process, including accurate and timely processing of invoices, and expense reports to meet month-end close timelines
• Input authorized and matched invoices into the accounting software
• Compile data for monthly accrued expenses report.
• Organize and manage accounts payable records.
• Conduct monthly credit card reconciliation
• Provide support with office administration as needed

Requirements

• QuickBooks Online – required
• Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP)
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills – adept at identifying and resolving accounting issues
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple administrative tasks and responsibilities
• Associate's or higher degree in business, accounting, math, economics or related field, preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role preferred
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in both a casual, friendly office setting with high professionalism, and independently/remotely when needed
