The Hire Solution has partnered with a prominent Dallas based nonprofit agency for a Senior Accountant on a permanent placement basis. The Senior Accountant is a visible role, reporting to the Director of Accounting, where duties will include a variety of accounting activities related to month-end close, general ledger, account reconciliations, and internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank account balances and bank statements including some investment portfolio accounts
• Prepare and produce journal entries using Black Baud Financial Edge ERP
• Reconcile account receivables, grants receivables, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities
• Accurately report financials through timely, well-documented account reconciliations. 
• Fixed Asset activities such as recording, maintaining, and reconciling the organizations' fixed assets using Black Baud Fixed Asset module 
• Maintain records in the timekeeping system
• Coordinate completion of audit schedules
• Support year-end audit
• Back up for accounts payable when needed
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field, with a minimum of 12 hours in accounting
• 3+ years' experience as an accountant with a minimum budget of $5MM or more
• CPA and non-profit experience preferred, but not required.
• ERP experience such as Black Baud, Sage Abila, Oracle, Lawson, NetSuite or similar
