Equipment Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and longevity of our machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is based in Texas and requires a hands-on approach to equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to determine the most effective solutions.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including performed tasks, parts used, and equipment status.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards.
• Work closely with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to source replacement parts and materials.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications: 

• Associates of Applied Science in Electronics or equivalent. 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair or maintenance. 
• Proficient in troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical systems. 
• Ability to read and interpret electronic and pneumatic schematics. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Strong mechanical aptitude with an emphasis on understanding mechanics and troubleshooting. 
• Proficiency in using computer programs to control electronic or electro-mechanical devices. 
• Familiarity with various programming software packages. 
• Ability to design complex circuits for control devices or similar applications.
