SENIOR DATA ENGINEER / DIGITALISATION 7 BILLION DOLLAR LOGISTICS COMPANY


I am currently looking for a Data Engineer for an international market leading logistics company, currently undergoing a global digitalization, with the goal to become data driven and use data to help them with the next growth phase.


Part of your role is to set up new data platforms, implement new technologies, decide what and how data can be used and act as a sparring partner to different stake holders. You will also help with deciding how to build the data platform, what technologies to use, on prem vs cloud, etc.


The opportunity for you here is to join in the early stages of a digital transformation and thus giving you the chance to work on different new uses cases and define them, working on many new projects and shaping the way the company interacts with Data the impact you make will be immense! Additionally, you are backed by a billion-dollar company that is growing. They have very flat structures which makes decision making processes faster and smoother, without the usual corporate red tape and you have backing from the C-Level.


Ideally you have:

  • Strong communication skills in English & German
  • 3+ yrs experience in data engineering
  • Strong skills in SQL & Python
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience designing and developing data pipeline infrastructure


Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (or Snowflake)
  • Skills with Azure Databricks
  • Experience providing Data warehouse solutions
