Job Purpose:

This position requires both individual contribution and teamwork, applying fundamental engineering principles, specifications, policies, and procedures in practical settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment.
  • Conduct function testing of substation control circuits on relay panels, transformers & circuit breaker change-outs.
  • Perform end-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite.
  • Develop written standard commissioning, testing, and maintenance procedures for protective relaying.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or completion of a 2-year program in substation/power-specific studies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
  • Willingness and ability to work in field environments.
  • Capability to obtain necessary security clearances.
  • Flexibility for overtime work and travel.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift 70 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
