Job Overview:


The Production Planner plays a key role in coordinating and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand while optimizing efficiency and resource utilization. This position involves working closely with various departments to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery of products to customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Coordinate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure alignment of production plans with customer requirements and company goals.
  • Monitor production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or issues that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes in customer demand, material availability, or production constraints.
  • Communicate production schedules, priorities, and updates to relevant stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Participate in production meetings to provide updates on production status, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and production performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by actively participating in process optimization projects and providing input on planning-related matters.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or related roles within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other planning software/tools.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate production plans clearly.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
