Job Summary

The National Accounts Director (NAD) will be primarily responsible for securing and maintaining formulary access with large national and select regional health plans. Additional responsibilities include developing payer account level strategies, as well as determining how best to communicate the product's clinical and relevant economic attributes to payer decision makers and influencers, during prelaunch, launch and post-launch phases of a product's life-cycle. This will be a field-based position reporting to the Senior Director, Lead of Market Access.


Roles & Responsibilities

1. Effectively manage and negotiate all contract negotiations with payer customers to secure and maintainprofitable access that supports brand access objectives. 

2. Conduct quarterly/semi-annual reviews with all assigned contracted accounts to review contract performance and identify opportunities to expand access. Present annual account business reviews internally with Contracting and Pricing Committee. 

3. Develop and execute strategic payer account business plans for all assigned accounts, in partnership with Payer Contracting, Marketing, Payer Marketing, and Medical Affairs, to efficiently achieve access and corporate objectives for Arcutis' product portfolio. 

4. Establish partnerships within assigned accounts (i.e. C-suite, Clinical Management, Pharmacy Management, and Industry Relations) to increase Arcutis’ corporate identity with payers and expand knowledge of product portfolio pre-and-post approval. 

5. Present payer value proposition and relevant health economics data on product portfolio to support efforts to secure positive formulary access.

6. Partner with assigned Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to proactively communicate approved clinical information across Arcutis’ portfolio and expand payer relationship. Works with MSL to respond to therapeutic class reviews, drug formulary coverage review committees or any other special clinical requests

7. Attend and act as a liason for Arcutis at all major market access conferences (i.e. PCMA, AMCP and Asembia)

REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Education & Licenses and Experience

• Typically requires a B.A. or B.S. degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred and at least 5 years of related experience in payor national account management experience with proven track record in developing and executing contracting and pull-through strategies. Comprehensive knowledge of US healthcare reimbursement system in both commercial and government payers. Recent product launch experience is preferred.

Working Conditions

• General office environment. This is a field based position, working from home when not on business travel. Travel may be required at least 35% of time worked.
