Summary:

The Maintenance Manager, TPM, will drive a culture of maintenance excellence in the production facility, utilizing continuous improvement and preventive maintenance tools. This role aims to reduce maintenance-related losses such as breakdowns, maintenance costs, and lost productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
  • Manage, maintain, and establish maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or exceeds budget expectations.
  • Maintain manufacturing assets and facilities, oversee parts inventory, and monitor spending, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.
  • Set and maintain departmental budget by reviewing financial statements and monitoring line efficiencies, labor costs, and other expenses.
  • Manage maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities, and providing training and continuous development for all maintenance personnel.
  • Provide formal performance evaluations for direct reports at least twice a year, with regular touch-base and feedback conversations throughout the year.
  • Verify the quality of the technical workforce by direct reports, provide feedback as needed, and hold all maintenance personnel accountable to technical standards of their work.
  • Drive the Maintenance and Reliability/TPM initiative focused on preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Coordinate work with outside contractors as needed, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required.
  • Participate in designing and developing production capacities and capability by engaging in planning and coordinating with Engineering, Plant Management, and other functions.
  • Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.
  • Participate in special projects and duties as needed.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar managerial maintenance role, with strong technical, mechanical, maintenance, and/or engineering experience.
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of maintenance disciplines – electricity, electronics/automation (PLC), lubrication, mechanical transmissions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • TPM and Autonomous Maintenance experience is highly desired.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Food and/or beverage manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Working knowledge of national, state, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, safety, environment, and emergency management.
