Position Overview: The Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of drywall, stucco, and stone projects from inception to completion. This includes planning, coordinating, and overseeing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and team members to achieve project goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead all aspects of the company’s safety culture, creating awareness and demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and labor oversight.
  2. Evaluate RFPs and/or Contract Documentation to develop, communicate, and successfully drive scope, schedule, and budget from inception to closeout.
  3. Establish and nurture client, subcontractor, and supplier relationships in conjunction with others.
  4. Ensure best-in-class customer communications and exceptional customer service.
  5. In collaboration with estimating resources and project stakeholders, negotiate and develop the project budget and Schedule of Values (SOV).
  6. Create and manage financial reporting and forecasting for assigned projects.
  7. Create, manage, and track project RFIs, change orders, ensuring all needed work is fully contracted before execution of the work.
  8. Prepare and submit timely project reports including WIP reports, change order log, any required OSHA reporting, weekly cost reports, project cost forecasts, etc. Attend and report on project progress as needed.
  9. Create, manage, and update project schedule. Continually analyze critical path proactively ensuring efficient and timely prosecution of work.
  10. Coordinate, perform buyout, and ensure proper materials, equipment, consumables, and labor are scheduled, mobilized, efficient, safe, and producing at the highest quality.
  11. Review and process subcontractor, vendor, supplier invoices in a timely manner.
  12. Work directly with the accounting team and client to ensure timely, acceptable invoicing and payments are collected per contract payment terms.
  13. Provide leadership and training to junior team members, as appropriate.
  14. Visit and work on site, as required, with all project team members and stakeholders to carry out a variety of tasks such as customer service, monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity, equipment, etc.
  15. Manage and/or perform various activities such as punch lists, inspections, safety walks, pre-install/quality control meetings, and prepare the necessary documentation, project meetings including weekly project team meetings, weekly trade meetings, OAC meetings, etc. Prepare and disseminate required documentation (meeting minutes) timely.
  16. Review and approve all shop drawings and samples prior to submittal to architects or engineers. Ensure approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to project team per the project schedule and the contract.
  17. Manage and/or perform various processes such as project closeout, warranty, and O&M submissions.
  18. Coordinate permits as appropriate.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expert in construction, common materials, and construction sequencing.
  • Highest business ethics, integrity, and ability to perform in highly-autonomous environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret project drawings and contract documents.
  • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
  • Must be able to multi-task on multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant building codes.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • 5+ years of full-time construction project management experience in multi-family, commercial, or large campus projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), smartphones, etc.
  • Preferred: Bluebeam and Microsoft Project experience.
  • Preferred: OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Preferred: Extensive drywall, stone, and stucco experience.
