Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily New Construction - Denver

The Assistant Site Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to manage assigned trades, suppliers, and site personnel while ensuring production, quality control, schedule, and risk compliance. This position will assist in overseeing the overall construction site with a keen eye to the compliance and coordination with municipal and other authorities. Additionally, this position will be integral in the management of the overall project safety in conjunction with internal and external risk and safety management team. NOTE: Concrete Post Tension Knowledge puts you at the top of the list.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Superintendent in all activities from scheduling, detailing material and equipment needs, and any required inspections.
  • Help ensure construction specifications and drawings are followed.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals.
  • Comply with construction regulations and policies.
  • Organize and schedule subcontractors/suppliers when needed. Drive schedule.
  • Understand company policies, procedures, systems and technical construction means and methods.
  • Manage the workload of the construction teams to achieve the desired results.
  • Maintains the construction documents at the job site so that all pertinent information is readily available.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Solve, anticipate, and prevent problems.
  • Conduct professional and ethical representation to customers and employees.
  • Schedule all work and material supply with preparation of two-week forecast schedule for subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Accept material and approve completed work.
  • Issuance and proper daily record keeping of purchase orders and site diary to ensure matched waybills prior to submitting.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Attend site trade meetings and safety meetings.
  • Meet with trades to arrange deficiency repairs, make changes/corrections as required.
  • Coordinate with all City and inspectors and consultants for inspections.
  • Consult with engineers, architects, and the owners on design problems and change orders after reviewing with Project Manager.
  • Design and establish a checklist for inspections, quality control, and standard procedures.
  • Ensure the work permits are obtained and communicated to construction teams prior to the start of any work activities.
  • Various other duties and responsibilities as assigned



Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma is preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in high-rise or multi-family construction with experience in Concrete post tension. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Certifications: OSHA-10 or 30
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
