The Position:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to serve in the pivotal role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, you will provide critical leadership to ensure the seamless operations of current programming and future initiatives. This opportunity translates strategy into organizational culture, resource oversight, and initiative success. We seek an individual who can demonstrate attention to detail, strong initiative, a passion for innovation, and a vast planning and organizational skill set.


Objectives:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to set and drive organizational vision, operations strategy, and sound resource management
  • Translate strategies into specific, actionable goals to effectively plan and execute operational expansion, client growth, pricing optimization, and strategic collaborations
  • Foster an environment of innovation while nurturing a strong dedication to client-focused programs, instilling values of integrity, accountability, compassion, and empowerment within the team in alignment with 91 Place’s Core Values
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and staff retention
  • Oversee organizational operations to ensure consistency with the mission, standards of excellence, strategic plan, and program outcomes
  • Implement an efficient, effective risk management program and take appropriate action when necessary to protect our clients and organization


Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and Strategy:
  • Analyze internal operations to identify areas for process enhancement
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans aligned with short-term and long-term objectives, in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors 
  • Leadership and Oversight:
  • Provide leadership to assigned committees of the Board of Directors
  • Directly oversee operations, HR, and accounting, collaborating with the CEO on budget management for investment capital to achieve growth targets
  • Monitor performance, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for current and forecasting purposes
  • Vision and Expansion:
  • Cast vision and execute future expansion plans
  • Oversee current programming of three transitional homes, a therapy center, and a workforce development program
  • Reporting and Monitoring:
  • Provide reports to committees, the Board of Directors, and the CEO
  • Monitor monthly financial reports to ensure expense control
  • Meeting Attendance and HR Duties:
  • Attend board meetings and Senior Leadership Team meetings
  • Handle all employee relations for HR, including issuing offer letters, communicating employee information, and managing employee separations
  • Schedule training and assign onboarding sessions to ensure consistency and timeliness
  • Process Improvement and Policy Management:
  • Identify and address organizational process inefficiencies
  • Draft, implement, and communicate new procedures to increase efficiency
  • Create, write, and organize the Organizational Policy and Procedures Manual, updating it as needed
  • Regularly communicate with staff regarding organizational policies and procedures, receiving and implementing feedback
  • Technology Training and Facility Management:
  • Set up and train employees on technology and applications used
  • Maintain clean and safe facilities, conducting regular conditions assessments
  • Implement and enforce facility management policies and procedures
  • Fundraising Support:
  • Participate in fundraising endeavors, including collecting stories for advancement purposes and supporting advancement staff as needed
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform other assigned duties


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in executive leadership positions
  • Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Understanding of advanced nonprofit planning and expansion
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues


Salary & Benefits:

  • $80,000
