The Position


The Tax Manager will perform and review tax compliance and consulting services, mentor and supervise tax staff, and build client relationships through planning and direct communication. Responsibilities:


  • Review and prepare individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary tax returns ranging in complexity
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and guidance to tax staff, seniors, and other team members
  • Serve as the primary client contact to answer questions, provide tax advice, and manage client engagements
  • Prepare income tax projections and lead implementation of tax strategies
  • Perform tax research and preparation of responses to tax notices
  • Serve as liaison between client and taxing authorities to proficiently solve tax inquiries
  • Maintain timely knowledge of new tax legislation and application to clients through proactive research and relevant continuing education
  • Efficiently manage a variety of projects, often deadline driven


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive tax compliance and consulting experience in public accounting
  • Licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical, technical and accounting skills
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
  • Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop excellent client relationships
  • Strong leadership aptitude


Salary & Benefits:


  • $100,000 - $150,000 / year, depending on experience

  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak busy seasons
