As part of the FSA team, the Financial Advisor is responsible for helping fulfill our mission: Making a positive difference in the lives of our clients by helping them pursue financial peace of mind. FSA exists to help our clients develop a plan to help them reach their goals and give them peace of mind along the way. The Financial Planner/Advisor provides an integral service by advising clients on financial decisions.


The Position:

The purpose of the Advisor is to work with the Lead Advisor to guide and advise clients on the many financial decisions facing them. The Advisor Team will support clients in forming and defining goals, creating a plan tailored to the client’s specific needs, and advising on investment options and financial matters, to help our clients meet their financial goals. As a Financial Planning firm, we provide advice and recommendations using a financial planning lens.


We work as a team toward a common goal: taking care of our clients and supporting them in their financial decisions. While we may advise clients individually and work independently to implement the client’s game plan, we all use similar philosophies and strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships – internal and external
  • Understand the investment and financial planning areas and display good judgment and discernment in how to apply this knowledge with clients.
  • Be dedicated to the success of the firm in direct and indirect ways
  • Learn the FSA way – and be able to lead financial planning engagements, client relationships, and prospect meetings
  • Provide top-notch service and communication to both internal and external clients
  • Know and abide by the CFP® Board’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct
  • Stay up to date with compliance regulations and maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Maintain a warm and welcoming demeanor and a positive and supportive attitude. Be willing to always conduct yourself at the highest levels of ethics and integrity.
  • Work with the Lead Advisor to provide professional asset management and financial advice to our clients while using a financial planning lens. Providing information and educating our clients about the purpose and details of financial products, services, and strategies.
  • Have a high sense of accountability to yourself, to your co-workers, and FSA. This means understanding that your individual actions and what we do as a team determine your success, the client’s success, and the success of FSA. The success of each component is interrelated.


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • FINRA Series 7 & 66
  • Certified Financial Planner® certification required or in process
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct client-facing experience
  • Clean compliance history and a track record of success in client relationships
  • Self-motivated professional with a drive toward delivering excellence in client advice, guidance, planning, and service
  • Must genuinely enjoy working with other professionals in a supportive team environment
  • Must take ownership of FSA mission and contribute to it wherever needed

  • Superior interpersonal communication skills


Salary + Benefits:

  • $85-$110k, based on experience with up to 15% bonus potential
  • 12 paid holidays throughout the year + on-call only for the week between Christmas and New Years

  • Paid Time Off - 12 days per year up to 2 years, 3 weeks up to 5 years, 4 weeks at 5+ years.
  • Retirement Plan – 401(k): after 6 months, 3% company contribution + 50% match up to 6% of compensation. 
  • Insurance – Health, Vision & Dental: after 6 months. Base plan cost covered by FSA for employees. Disability insurance available for purchase through LPL Financial.
