The Vice President of Supply Chain Management will be able to effectively lead production planning, material planning, NA procurement and global sourcing for direct material and logistics.

The Vice President of Supply Chain has strong procurement and analytical experience combined with the vision to create short-, mid-, and long-term sourcing strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of sourcing and supplier strategies and inventory optimization strategies, as well as the identification and execution of cost savings initiatives. This individual must be a strong leader who can focus on the vision and strategies.

Additional responsibilities:

· Provide strategic direction, leadership, and training to supply chain teams in our corporate office and plants. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

· Lead efforts to optimize systems, business processes, information flow, metrics, and culture to achieve 99% accuracy in inventory and schedule adherence.

· Optimize inventory to reduce carrying costs and working capital while maintaining sufficient supply to meet production needs and customer demand.

· Strategic management of supplier performance and future organizational needs to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

· Manage Excess and Obsolete inventory.

· Ensure efficient sourcing of materials and components. Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with key vendors to optimize efficiency and reliability.

· Define the Supply Chain team goals and ensure actions are implemented to achieve those goals.

· Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.

· Establish effective internal customer relationships and gain key stakeholders’ trust and respect.

· Lead and mentor direct reports.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated experience in the areas of procurement and planning.

· Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

· Track record for utilizing innovative and creative problem-solving skills to address complex and/or contentious issues.

· Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories, and processes.

· Experience in business process design and implementation including problem-solving, negotiations, and team building.

· Demonstrated aptitude for connecting disparate types of information including planning, procurement, manufacturing, regulations, product development, and statistical methods.

· Systems thinking/mindset, including the ability to create an understanding of a larger system by examining linkages and interactions between components.

· Demonstrate ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others.

· Negotiating Skills with knowledge of tactical and strategic procurement. Wide breadth of commodity knowledge and understanding of supplier partnerships, contracts, terms, and conditions.

· Strong business acumen.

· Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.

· Advanced Excel skills. Experience utilizing BI tools is a plus.
