Role Summary:

We are looking for a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts at Pepper Rewards. The CMO will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing strategy that promotes the brand, drives growth, and enhances user engagement.  This role requires a blend of analytical prowess and creative acumen to navigate the competitive landscape of mobile payments and loyalty programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness and adoption. 
  • Lead the marketing team in executing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional advertising.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align marketing strategies with customer needs and product evolution.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, optimizing conversion and loyalty.
  • Manage the marketing budget with an eye for maximizing ROI and efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and product innovations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, external agencies, and marketing partners.
  • Oversee daily operations of both paid and organic media channels, such as social media, search advertising, user-generated content, mobile user acquisition, and retargeting efforts. The goal is to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Conduct regular tests across all marketing tactics and touchpoints to refine and improve campaign efficacy.
  • Develop and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing success. Regularly report on progress, insights, and recommendations based on detailed analysis of marketing outcomes to the executive team.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior marketing role, with a focus on online acquisition channels and digital marketing.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Experience in a marketplace or subscription-based company is highly advantageous (eg: DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, Lyft, GrubHub, etc)
  • Highly analytical with a robust data-driven approach, proficient in digital advertising platforms and data tools, with SQL, Mode, Snowflake or similar data platform experience.
